RCIA – The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

RCIA-Is a process by which a person who wishes to receive the sacraments and be received in the Catholic Church is instructed in the Catholic faith and then received as a faithful of the Church. If you want to be Catholic or know someone who wants to, call the ministry of religious education for more information. Also, adults over 18 who have been baptized but wish to receive Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation can participate in this program.

RCIA courses – begin in September and meets once a week. The candidates and catechumens are received into the faith at the Easter Vigil.


Please complete this form as accurately as possible to be admitted to the RCIA program. Only legal names are acceptable. Nicknames and diminutive names cannot be used.

If you were baptized in a church other than St. James, a copy of your baptismal certificate is requested, if available.
