BAPTISM REGISTER -- REGISTRO BAUTISMAL

To better serve the sacramental needs of St. James parishioners, the following preparations and conditions must be fulfilled/Para servir mejor las necesidades sacramentales de los feligreses de St. James, se deben cumplir los siguientes preparativos y condiciones:

Requirements:

*If you are not a registered member of our parish, we need a letter from your
parish priest giving you permission to have your child get baptize in our parish.

*Child's birth certificate.

*If godparent(s) is not registered with the parish, we will need a letter of recommendation from the parish they attend with indications of their sacraments.

* Affidavit Form for each godparent and return to office (the link is at the end of the registration page).

Requisitos:

*Si no es miembro registrado de nuestra parroquia, necesitamos una carta de su párroco dándole permiso para que su hijo se bautice en nuestra parroquia.

*Certificado de nacimiento de su hijo.

*Si los padrinos no están registrados en esta parroquia necesitamos una carta de recomendación de su parroquia con indicaciones de sus sacramentos.

*Formulario de declaración jurada de cada padrino y devuélvalo a la oficina (el enlace está al final de la página de registro).

If child was adopted we need proof of adoption or custody. Si el niño fue adoptado, necesitamos prueba de adopción o custodia.

The godparent(s) must be practicing Catholics in good standing with the Catholic Church and must have the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. Please fill out affidavit form below for each godparent and return to office.

El (los) padrino (s) deben ser católicos practicantes en buena posición con la Iglesia Católica y deben tener los sacramentos de iniciación: Bautismo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación. Por favor complete el formulario de declaración jurada a continuación para cada padrino y devuélvalo a la oficina.

Once all the above has been completed, parents and godparents will be properly prepared and ready to enter the sacrament of Baptism for the child. If you have any questions, please call the parish office 256-546-2975 ext:105

During the Lenten season there are no baptisms, unless it is a life or death situation.
