The Sacramental life of a Catholic is filled with many great moments. We celebrate the birth of a child as we gather together for the Sacrament of Baptism. As we watch our children grow, we watch also as they grow in their faith, as they receive their First Communion, as they are Confirmed. Some of us hope and pray that a son may join the priesthood, while others anxiously await their child's Marriage and the eventual arrival of grandchildren. The cycle repeats itself over and over, ad infinitum.
The Sacraments of Initiation and the Sacraments of Vocation fill our lives at times, pushing to the side the third grouping of Sacraments which the Church has to help us through the difficult moments our of Christian lives, the Sacraments of Healing: The Anointing of the Sick and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, or more commonly known, Confession.
